(1) END COVER:
Ensure end cover is tightened to alignment marks when in
operation.

800 – 900 metres.

(4) GETTING STARTED / STEERING
(A) Attach bridle to both wings (see diag)
(B) Tie a knot in bridle approx 8mm off centre to right
(C) Set timer for 1 minute, ensure endcap is tight.
(D) Bend rudder approx 30 degrees to the left (see diag)
(E) Point torpedo out to sea and turn on.
*Ensure reel is directly in line with Torpedo at all times
(F) Adjusted correctly the Torpedo will turn slightly to the left with no
drag on the line. When some brake is applied to the line, the Torpedo will turn slightly to the right.
(G) Adjust rudder accordingly, carry out this step at least 3 times or until you are confident of steering the unit.
(H) When encountering a broken wave it is important that the Torpedo is straight on. Apply some brake to the line. This will keep the unit in a straight line.
(I) Once you have mastered this technique adjust the time to 8 – 10 minutes and you are ready to fish.
(J) Attach the 12 oz sinker between the first two crimps, followed by the traces on the remainder.
(K) Leave out for approx ¾- 1 hour.
(L) To retrieve: Place the trolley/reel up the beach as far as practical. From the waters edge pick up the line and walk it slowly to the reel. At the reel, wind on the gathered line.
(M) When the line is about ½ way in, you will start to feel any reasonable sized fish on the line. Take it slowly during this stage to prevent any break offs.
WARNING: KEEP WELL CLEAR OF HOOKS WHEN TORPEDO IS UNDER POWER |
